Meet the Team



Growing up in the countryside, Robert Firebreath 「火息」found that video games achieved far greater successes than board games in engaging children. This led him to start Physical Gaming to bring new, intuitive, physical games to the world.



Emily is an aspiring artist in the UK, currently working on character design and comic books. She is creating all of the main character designs for Physical Gaming´s new blockbuster game.

"Dave 'Gamester' Wetherall is Physical Gaming's Games Guru, being responsible for games design, development and play-testing, as well as leading our crowdfunding campaigns and global engagement. He's a playful live role-player with many hats who's designed and published multiple games, many of them to be played in live role-playing worlds. In the real world, he runs GGG Games, an independent games design studio.

Forces of Darkness: Expansion

In a 3-6 player game, one player can choose to play Darkness. Darkness starts without Elements on the board. Every turn Darkness can either place a new Element anywhere in the neutral area between the other players or flick an existing Piece. For every Element/Lord/God that Darkness knocks out, a new Darkness Element/Lord/God can be placed. Darkness wins if it manages to be the last player with a Lord or God in the game!


FAQ Four Elements

Flicking

Barriers can be moved indirectly by flicking Elements against them.
Each Element has different quantities of Barriers, but the overall weight of each set of Barriers is the same. For example, Water has the heaviest, but fewest Barriers.
Flicking should be done with one finger. The force should come from your finger rather than your wrist or arm. Players who fail to flick this way can be penalised to miss their turn.
All pieces should be used with the engravings facing upwards.
Players can use a finger guard provided to protect their finger nails if they wish.

Playing areas

When using the table edge as the boundary, pieces are out when they fall off.They are not off when they are just over the edge.
When the playing mat is overlapping over the edge of the table, pieces are out when they fall off. Remember to put the pieces that are 'out' back in the pouches ready for the next game
When setting up, pieces may be built leaning over the lines that designate each player's set up area on the playing mat, as long as their base is in the setup area.
When playing on a small table, use half the pieces available (Standard) for a quicker, more proportionate game.
Special tables can be used. However, all players should have a fair starting position and pieces are not allowed to be placed in places that are inaccessible to other players’ Elements by sliding.
Put the bottom or top half of the box in the middle of the playing area when setting up as an obstacle and additional feature to the game.
When a piece goes out, bounces back in, and hits something in the game, the move counts, but the piece is still to be taken out of the game afterward as it is considered ‘out’.

Turns

In the special case where a piece that is still in the game is lying on top of a piece that is ‘out’, the pieces which is ‘out’ should not be taken away.
If more than one Lord is knocked off in one turn, it does not matter which Lord fell off first. All the players knocked out share the same place (i.e. first or last place).
If a player is unable to flick one of their pieces without touching their own barriers or another player’s pieces, they lose.
When a player is out all their pieces remain where they are on the board as obstacles for the remaining players.

Warning! Not suitable for children under 36 months because of small parts that may be swallowed. Choking Hazard! Four Elements is a game intended for entertainment. This product is age-graded and is intended for use by players aged 6 years and above.

The game is based on flicking. To avoid pain, it is recommended to wear finger guards.

Keep the surrounding area of the game clear of anything that may break during the game as pieces fly off the playing area. To avoid injury, stay away from the playing area when possible and keep your head higher than the pieces that are being flicked.

Beware of acrylic edges as they may be sharp, especially when damaged. Do not use any pieces that may result in cuts. Damaged pieces should be discarded, and new pieces can be ordered here.

The box is for decoration purposes only. Any damages incurred during transport or use as part of the game are the responsibility of the user. There is no warranty on any of the game pieces. If you find pieces missing during the purchase, you may exchange your product for a new one.
